Categoria de herramientas de software, es un subtipo de OLAP, estas herramientas no requieren realizar pre-calculos y almacenamiento separado de la matriz multidimensional de los datos que se analizaran. Si no que se conectan directamente a la base de datos relacional que contiene los datos originales.
